Resilience in the Age of AI: My Story Behind the Tactics
How Personal Grit, Hard Choices, and Relentless Persistence Shaped My Approach to Meaningful AI Consulting
Hey there,
This isn't your typical AI newsletter.
No frameworks today.
No tactical implementation guides.
No business automation strategies.
If you've been following The AI Tactical Toolbox for a while, you might not know much about my story.
And honestly?
My story is why I'm so passionate about helping business owners like you cut through the AI hype and find real solutions.
So let me share something personal with you.
Sometimes life throws you curveballs that seem impossible to handle.
But it's not about the curveballs.
It's about how you respond to them.
When I started college, I had no clear direction.
So I chose the biggest major I could find at Brooklyn College.
Public accounting, business management, and finance.
After two years at PwC, I realized something.
This wasn't my path.
While working those brutal busy seasons, I made a choice.
Wake up at 6 AM to study for the LSAT.
Stay up until 1 AM after work.
All while going through my first marriage and having a baby.
By my first year of law school, I was getting divorced.
People told me to drop out.
"It's too much," they said.
But I pushed forward anyway.
Working part-time at a law firm as a paralegal.
Learning real estate and corporate law.
Then AI emerged.
I was mesmerized by its potential.
So I added that to my already crazy schedule.
Deep diving into every way it could transform my work.
By my third year of law school, something beautiful happened.
I found the love of my life and got remarried.
But then I made another bold choice.
I pushed off taking the bar exam.
Started my own AI consulting company instead.
Fast forward one year.
I've been running my AI consulting company successfully.
And guess what?
The New York bar exam is next week.
The same work ethic and dedication continue.
Waking up early to study for the bar.
Running my company during the day.
Servicing clients.
Studying until 1 AM.
Right now, I'm absolutely burnt out.
Balancing my company, studying for the bar, and life.
It's a crazy juggling act.
But here's what people don't understand about success.
They see someone successful and think they got "lucky."
The reality?
It's years of hard work when no one notices anything.
Then suddenly people say it was "luck."
Why am I sharing this with you?
Because this experience shaped everything about how I approach AI consulting.
When I tell you that AI implementation isn't about flashy tools...
It's because I've learned that real success comes from grinding when nobody's watching.
When I emphasize practical solutions over hype...
It's because I've pushed through when everyone said "it's too much."
When I talk about resilience in business transformation...
I've lived it.
What truly sets someone apart is resilience.
The willingness to push forward when others quit.
To do things others won't do.
That's what creates real success.
And that's exactly what I bring to every client relationship.
The same dedication I showed studying until 1 AM while building my company?
That's what I put into solving your business challenges.
The same persistence that got me through law school during a divorce?
That's what I bring to implementing AI solutions that actually work.
I'm sharing this because I'm exhausted right now.
Questioning everything.
But then I remember how far I've come.
And I realize I'm just getting started.
After next week's bar exam though?
I'm really looking forward to a nice little break.
Then it's back to what I love most...
Helping business owners like you transform their operations with AI that actually delivers results.
Best,
Avi
